Psychic abilities / Spiritual Gifts / Special "powers"?

I'm 99% positive that there is no right answer for this, I'm just looking for opinions here … I have always wondered if the psychic abilities and / or special abilities could be given to us by a higher power (God, if you will) as a spiritual gift? I'm not saying I have something like this, but …. for those who do (or say, at least) what you think about this? and further, do you personally think it is possible for a person to possess the ability to influence something without having any contact with it (such as telepathy) or moving objects (telekenisis)?

I believe that the skills and "powers" are within the U.S.. . . that are sources of mystery and the unknown. . . but I also believe that they are often triggered by what one might characterize as "religious experience" and probably should not be careless about Mucked. In traditional cultures, people who showed such skills were placed on learning from experienced shamans.
