How I can keep my glasses to get a movie about them when they are dishwasher safe.?
I have some Cristal d'Arques drinking glasses I washed in a dishwasher. I do this because the hand washing I discourage the use of them and enjoy them every day. When washing I put on the shelf higher, use warm soft water, Jet Dry Rinse Agent, and Full Cascade. I think that getting a film on them that looks like oil but does not feel oily. Is there anything I can do to prevent or solve this problem?
My experience over the years has been that there are some items that should not be in the dishwasher – and glassware is one of them. During a period of time, the dishwasher permanently "etch" the glasses and ruin them … and once done …- no return is permanent. So my personal rule-of-thumb is that when it is just my husband and I hand wash my glassware and puts it in a dish-drainer air dry. But – if we're having a party and there are "hundreds" of glasses to wash – then use the dishwasher – it just occasional washing in the dishwasher Not affect the glassware. I know that probably is not the answer they want to hear, but I found it true. Only there are some things that I put in the dishwasher …
